Symphony User Group Meeting 1/26/10

Yesterday I attended the 2nd Annual Symphony User Group meeting hosted by Capital Region BOCES School Library System. SirsiDynix Symphony is the automation system we currently use and purchase through BOCES. The purpose of these meetings is to update us on what has been accomplished since the last meeting and inform us about any new or revised procedures, options, etc. that are being implemented. Overall, it was a very informative and rewarding session. I continue to be slightly dissapointed with Sirsi's lack of attention to the needs of the School Library Community and with their reluctance to correct the flaws/programming errors we have found in the system. Below is a synopsis of what was covered at the meeting. The powerpoint presentation and notes will be available at http://www.crbsls.org/libraryautomation/index.html This is the new and improved School Library Sytem Automation website.
